Conductive rubber keypad is molded from silicone rubber and conductive pills at high temperatures, resulting in excellent resistance to both high and low temperatures. It also offers a comfortable feel, excellent electrical insulation, a long lifespan, durability, and dust and water resistance.

What are the customizable parameters for silicone keypads?

ForService Lifespan
The lifespan is generally 50,000-100,000 cycles. Using high-rebound materials, the lifespan can reach 200,000 cycles.

Load
The load range is generally 100g (1N) to 400g (4N). One product can meet various load requirements.

Stroke travel
The stroke is typically 1.0mm-2.0mm. For special design, it can reach up to 2.7mm.

Key Bottom/Top Contact Area Diameter
The bottom diameter of a button typically ranges from 4.5mm to 6.5mm. A larger diameter allows for greater design flexibility.

The top contact area of a button is generally 3.5-4.5mm. The larger the contact area of the button surface,the lower the applied pressure.

Conductive Pills
We offer carbon, nickel, gold, and other materials, depending on the customer's performance requirements. Conductive particle diameters can be 2.5mm, 3.0mm, 3.5mm, 4.0mm, 4.5mm, or 5.0mm.

Keypads have specific performance requirements for the materials used, generally requiring good resilience. Specific brands, such as Shin-Etsu and Dow Corning, can also be specified.

Silicone typically has a hardness of 55-60 Shore A. Steering wheels sometimes use 65 Shore A material.

Resistance
Carbon pills have a minimum contact resistance of 10 ohms. Nickel and gold pills have a contact resistance of less than 1 ohm. Different types of conductive pills can be selected to meet the resistance requirements of different switches.
