Raw material selection
The first step in manufacturing silicone rubber gaskets and seals is to select raw materials of suitable specifications and grades. Common silicone rubber materials include high-quality silicone, food contact grade, high-temperature silicone, fluorosilicone, and flame retardant silicone. Mold design
After receiving the complete 3D drawing or sample, the mold is customized. Depending on the size of the product or the expected production capacity, the number of mold cavities can be from a few to hundreds.
Mold making
The internally approved design drawings are compiled into the CNC mold opening program to start mold making.
Rubber mixing
Put the raw rubber and other required additives into the rubber mixer for kneading. These additives can be vulcanizers, masterbatches, etc. The general mixing time is about 30 minutes.
Cutting
Cut the uniform silicone rubber into the required size according to the placement requirements of the internal production specifications. The weighted strip rubber must be placed on the wake-up rack for a while. To ensure the cleanliness of the raw materials, the front and back of the raw materials must be covered with PE protective film.
Molding
Put or inject the silicone material into the preheated mold for molding. This process involves heating, exhausting, and holding the mold.
Deburring
After molding, the product is sent to the post-process department for trimming. This process can be completed by hand or by punching machine.
Cleaning and drying
Products are screened manually or by machine. Qualified products will be cleaned, such as surface dust, burrs, etc. The cleaned products are placed in the drying equipment inside for drying.
100% inspection
The quality inspection department visually inspects the quality of the finished product. They pick out unqualified products such as dirty, missing, broken, etc., and place them in the scrap area.
Packaging
Qualified products are packaged using general or customer-specific specifications.
